Taxi
VHS
Airing on ABC (and later NBC) from 1978 to 1983, this acclaimed

York's Sunshine Cab Company. Judd Hirsch played veteran cabby Alex
Rieger, Danny DeVito was diminutive, despotic dispatcher Louie De
Palma, and Andy Kaufman was quirky mechanic Latka Gravas; Jeff
Conaway, Tony Danza, Marilu Henner and Christopher Lloyd also
starred. Each tape features two episodes and runs about 50 min. Taxi,

It's an unusual love triangle when "Simka Returns" and
both Latka and Vic are attracted to her; Carol Kane guest stars.
Next, a chat with Dr. Joyce Brothers is just the start of the
marital hi-jinks in "The Wedding of Latka and Simka."

When a blizzard leaves Latka and a lady cabbie stranded overnight
in a cab--and in a compromising situation--Simka is told the only
way to rectify the betrayal is for her to sleep with one of the

Andy Kaufman may
not have been the star of Taxi, but he left us a comic
legacy.
