Taxi VHS
Airing on ABC (and later NBC) from 1978 to 1983, this acclaimed sitcom followed the day-to-day travails of the employees of New York's Sunshine Cab Company. Judd Hirsch played veteran cabby Alex Rieger, Danny DeVito was diminutive, despotic dispatcher Louie De Palma, and Andy Kaufman was quirky mechanic Latka Gravas; Jeff Conaway, Tony Danza, Marilu Henner and Christopher Lloyd also starred. Each tape features two episodes and runs about 50 min.

Taxi, Vol. 1 VHS
Latka's only chance to get a green card and stay in America is a "Paper Marriage" to a call girl; Christopher Lloyd makes his debut as Reverend Jim. Next, Alex finds himself attracted to "Mama Gravas" when the statuesque widow visits her son.

Taxi, Vol. 2 VHS
Trying to change his image, "Latka the Playboy" develops the hip alter ego of Vic Ferrari. The confusion increases in "Mr. Personalities," when a visit to the psychiatrist leaves Latka acting like Alex.

Taxi, Vol. 3 VHS
It's an unusual love triangle when "Simka Returns" and both Latka and Vic are attracted to her; Carol Kane guest stars. Next, a chat with Dr. Joyce Brothers is just the start of the marital hi-jinks in "The Wedding of Latka and Simka."

Taxi, Vol. 4 VHS
When a blizzard leaves Latka and a lady cabbie stranded overnight in a cab--and in a compromising situation--Simka is told the only way to rectify the betrayal is for her to sleep with one of the guys, in the two-part "Scenskees from a Marriage."

Andy Kaufman may not have been the star of Taxi, but he left us a comic legacy.

Andy Kaufman: I'm From Hollywood DVD

Andy Kaufman: I'm From Hollywood VHS

Soundstage: The Andy Kaufman Show (1983) DVD To most people he is simply just "Latka" from theshow Taxi, but to me he is the greatest entertainer of our time. Andy Kaufman was a very brilliant man! His ideas were something very special, and in many ways, GENIUS! If you have never experienced his bizarre, creative and original ways, I highly recommend this video.

God Told Me To(1976) VHS
Writer/director Larry Cohen delivers a controversial, way-out thriller starring Tony LoBianco as a New York cop trying to stop a series of bizarre sniper killings in which the shooters all say "God told me to." The man behind the bloodshed is a pale-skinned cultist who claims to be the product of a human-alien breeding. Sandy Dennis, Deborah Raffin and Andy Kaufman co-star. Special remastered edition. AKA: "Demon." 89 min.

In God We Tru$t(1980) VHS
Marty Feldman directed, co-wrote and starred in this divinely funny comedy as a sheltered monk who is sent to Los Angeles to find financial help for his monastery. My Breakfast With Blassie(1983) VHS
Move over, Andre (the Giant, that is)! Wrestling legend "Classy" Freddie Blassie, "The King of Men," meets comedian/champion co-ed grappler Andy Kaufman for breakfast at an L.A. Sambo's.
